Any chances of getting SSH support for administering UNIX/LINUX boxes?
Seems like the existing structure would work just fine. Click on a host in the left side and see the SSH terminal on the right.

Thanks for your feedback. SSH support is on our roadmap for a post V2 release.
cheers,
Stefan

Will SSH support be terminal window support, or will it also support session tunneling? It'd be excellent to be able to define SSH tunnels with SSH sessions and be able to link RDP sessions with SSH tunnels so that initiating an RDP session automatically brings up the linked SSH session first so the tunnel is established when making a connection. There's a couple of iPhone RDP clients that do something similar, although they have per-RDP session tunnel settings, which I think is somewhat less flexible for RoyalTS users, since I think we're the kind of people who want multiple TS sessions and having 10 SSH sessions to the same SSH server for 10 RDP sessions is kind of clunky.

We are evaluating SSH components and will take tunneling into account. We're still not sure what to use. If someone has suggestions for SSH components to integrate into .NET applications, I'm happy to have a look at it.
cheers,
stefan

I don't know about .Net integration, but it seems that everything that uses SSH borrows/includes stuff from Putty, which is a fine ssh/tunnel/proxy client by itself.

Hi chris!
I know and I am sorry for the delay. SSH is still on the roadmap for a post V2 release and we really hope that we can bring a V2 public beta soon. We also noticed that most SSH components out there are licensed under GPL which makes it hard for us to implement. If, by any chance, you know a decent SSH component for us to integrate, let us know.

Thx stefan!
As some might (and already) have suggested, it would be perfectly suitable to have a seamless putty integration, like mRemote does, as a start.
This would not require to develop / code ssh components, but use putty as a plugin.

Yes, we've looked into putty integration and one problem is that we are not allowed to deploy putty with Royal TS. So the user needs to install it separately - which is not exactly the experience we are aiming for. Besides that, integrating putty as an external .exe like mRemote does, is quite hacky and leads to stability issues. Let's say, it's kind of a last resort to go down that road...

Well at least that'd be something. I guess to do a separate install for putty to integrate with RTS as an extra step would mean nothing to a mature admin, would it?
Regarding putty stability, we had no issues with mRemote integration so far for some years now, since we had to turn away from RoyalTS because of that missing feature...

Yea I second this. This is one of the best rdp tools I have used yet no ssh support. Also other protocols (VNC) would be nice esspecially if its a paid application. Sticking with alternatives for now that support everything in one application.

Thanks for the feedback. It's very much appreciated!
It helps us to focus on our next steps once we released 2.0...
cheers!
