Hello!

I experience the following a lot:

When having multiple connections open over a longer period of time, the copy/paste stops working. It is then not possible to copy/past text from or to the session, the clipboard does not get transferred. Is there anything I can do to keep it working? The drives are shared, btw.

Kind regards!

Usually I use the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste files/text between the remote session and my local machine. When the clipboard doesn't seem to work anymore I always try to use the context menu in the remote session to copy/paste something instead of the keyboard shortcuts and sometimes it's working again. Unfortunately not always.

Another thing, it seems to me that the clipboard stability improved over the last weeks. I am wondering if other applications are interfering...

Hi,

I have the same problem.

After a while, the copy/paste doesn't work anymore.

Even after closing Royal TS and opening it again, it's not working.

I have several connections too opened.

Regards

Do you use Office, Visual Studio or other clipboard management tools? In my experience it happens a lot while using Office. Office has it's own clipboard management implemented which seems to sometimes breaks the terminal services clipboard functionality.

cheers

Hello,

I am experiencing the same problem, although sometimes it does not take too long before the clipboard functionality will stop working. I am using windows 7, have tried on multiple PCs and with no other programs running. Are there any more suggestions as we reply on copy and paste a great deal. Further to the clipboard simply not working, most of the time it will cause explorer to cash, and nothing can be done until RoyalTS is 'end tasked' and everything then springs back to life. When testing with notepad on the remote computer it will occasionally cause notepad to crash. All computers we are connecting to are Windows xp computers.

Does anyone have any suggestions as this is a deal breaker for us.

Thanks

Hi Oliver,

as I've replied already on the other thread: http://www.code4ward.net/main/Forums/...

I'm pretty sure that the issue you are experiencing is caused by RDP itself, so your options are limited. Since you are connecting to XP, I guess the behavior will be the same, regardless if you use Royal TS, mstsc.exe or any other product. Royal TS provides the feature to "type" the clipboard text, which is pretty unique and was originally implemented for Hyper-V sessions. Maybe this is sufficient, at least you get at least text from your local machine to the remote machine.

cheers
