I've uploaded the newest beta which lets you inherit custom fields and also includes additional encrypted custom fields.

Let me know if this makes your life now easier [image]

Hi Nicolas,
I've just uploaded a new build:
http://www.code4ward.net/main/forums/...
In this build you can now specify which credentials to use for a task. In my tests, it works pretty good as long as you use accounts allowed to log on and if you haven't enabled UAC.
Maybe you c...

It seems that in some situations the clipboard flag isn't imported correctly from older .rts files. Enabling clipboard redirection in the redirection page, solved the issue.

Great. Just to make this post more complete, here's the section in the help file: http://www.code4ward.net/Help/RoyalTS...
Under "Ad hoc"
cheers!

We are planning to replace the ad hoc text box with a combo box which holds the last 10 or so entries.
But some hints regarding ad hoc connections:
1. You can configure Royal TS to keep your ad hoc connections in the ad hoc folder after you've disconnected from the session in case you w...

Hi Nicolas,
I will see if I can come up with a solution for this. What you can do in the meantime is to use psexec from sysinternals and use the variables $EffectiveUsername$ and $EffectivePassword$ in the command to execute it with the username and password.
I'm not sure if I can integ...

I've just tested myself 2.0.4 with "Clipboard" checked in the "Redirection Page":
http://www.code4ward.net/Help/RoyalTS...
My client OS is Win 7 x64 (patched) and my remote server is a Windows 2008 R2 server.
Can you send me a sample document containing one of your ...

Since you are posting in the Royal TS 1.x forums, which version did you exactly install? It will also be much more productive to just give as much details about your situation as possible in order for me to help you.
A bit of background: as with every software bugs are introduced and all I ca...

Hi and thank you for the kind words!
Unfortunately, there's no way to log off a remote desktop session using the API because there's no support in the protocol itself. There are some task based hacks using a script:

I haven't tested it ...

Good idea, Eric. Will implement that in the next release.
Thank you for the feedback!

This is actually a problem/bug in the RDP control from Microsoft and often happens when you press WIN + L to lock your screen while an RDP session has the keyboard focus.
This is also discussed here:

As a workaround you either minimize Royal TS or ...

We will implement two things which would make this easier for you:
1. Each custom field can be configured to get the value from the parent (typical inheritance behavior)
2. We will also provide 10 additional custom fields for each object which are encrypted and therefore protected. In case y...

kofeinik is right, this workaround should work. Since you didn't state what OS you are using, in Windows 7 it should work out of the box. There's an advanced (custom DPI) option with a popup where you can check XP style high DPI rendering. Ensure it isn't checked. Using the default ...

Hi kofeinik,
thank you for the feedback. Royal TS is using a 3rd party component to handle the UI stuff and they do not support or provide a theme with that capability. Besides, as Royal TS has incorporated the ribbon, I'm also pretty sure that this would violate the license agreement wit...

I see. I was just asking if you can repro the issue because it happened to me as well occasionally but I couldn't figure out why. My guess is, if there's much in the message queue (lots of longer running code like destroying/opening tabs), Royal TS doesn't really update the selectio...

Hi Nicolas,
this should be the expected behavior. The dashboard should only be selected if the connection which is about to disconnect is selected. If another connection is selected, it should stay on that. Can you repro the issue?
cheers,
Stefan

I guess you don't see this when you use a web browser and minimize the browser window?
