I finally connected to the remote machine using Royal TS. However when I try to log in to the user on the remote machine desktop using the known password, it says the password is incorrect!! I switched users to another admin user, changed the password of the original user and still no joy!

Hi,
be careful with the keyboard layout. You may have a different keyboard layout on the remote machine, that's maybe the reason for not accepting the password. Special characters or some letters may have different positions on your keyboard.
