I am running Windows 7 and Royal TS version 1.6.9.  I can get an error when trying to open a RTS file created in version 1.6.7.  I tried rolling back to 1.6.7 but no luck.  When trying to open the RTS file the error simply status "Error opening..." and the path to the file is displayed with a line below that stating "Cannot open..." and the same path.  The Activity Log shows "File cleared" follow by the error a few seconds later.

I do not believe the file is corrupted as a colleague is using the file with version 1.6.7 and sent it to me.  The file is not encrypted.

Any suggestions would be appreciated so I can avoid having to manually re-add everything.  And may I say since this is my first post that I have and enjoyed using Royal TS and will continue to do so.

Hi,

the non encrypted .rts file is basically just an XML file. You can copy and rename the file to .xml and try to open it using Internet Explorer to see if it can be parsed successfully. If there's an error in the XML structure, IE will show it to you. You can also contact me and send your file over for investigation if you like.

regards,
Stefan
