Im getting this error: the ordinal 345 could not be located in the dynamic link library comctl32.dll

I tried uninstall and installing but this did not fix the problem.

I removed the xml settings files as recommended in the FAQ

Im using royal ts 1.5.1 and windows 7 x64 business

 Hi,

did Royal TS work before. I have to admit that I haven't tested 1.5.1 on Win7 x64. Also, can you tell me where exactly the error message is raised (on startup, upon connect, etc)?

cheers

I had no trouble running this version, had it running for almost a year now i think.

This error message comes up when i try to start royal ts, doesnt matter if i hit the icon or try to open an rts file, both ways fail instantly.

The error keeps repeating itself infinitely, i have to kill the process from taskmanager.

Interesting, especially because comctl (the common controls) library is a system DLL which might have been updated with a hotfix or Windows Update Patch? Can you examine your updates you recently installed and try to uninstall them.

I am getting the same error on Version 1.69

I get that error only when connecting to a Windows 2008 server.

03 is fine.

Thoughts?

Mike

very interesting! did you try to uninstall and re-install Royal TS? You might also try the release candidate of Royal TS 1.6.10 which is available at: http://www.code4ward.net/rtsbeta/royaltsinstaller.msi

cheers!

Hi,

do you refer to the re-install or the new version? Besides, do you remember, when it began to raise that error? After upgrading Royal TS, installing Windows Updates or just out of the blue?
