Hi'
I use the 1.6.8.36439 version of RoyalTS on a Windows SP3 freshly installed and up to date.
I'm trying to establish a connection to my distant server througt his public IP (firewalls are correctly configured since it works with "mstsc" application).
If i start my vpn, connection under RoyalTS througt the private ip is working too.
Any idea ?
Of course, here is the log i get on every try :
"Remote desktop client was disconnected: 260 - Cet ordinateur ne peut pas se connecter à l'ordinateur distant."
Should give in english something like :
"Remote desktop client was disconnected: 260 - This computer can't connect to the remote computer."
Did you double check the hostname/IP you configured in Royal TS (watch out for blanks in front or in the end of the hostname text box) and the port configuration (in the advanced tab)?
Yep, i test 2 differents servers (different clients/public ip).
and test with the fqdn too
All settings are set to default.
I try Network Level Authentification but the 2 servers are on Win2003 Server so i don't think it is necessary.
Very strange isn't it
I forget one line in the log event, before the one i post there is :
"Remot desktop client '<server name>' connected to '<server name>'"
Ok it's not a bug (nor a feature ;))
I use the "physical address" for IP address and "host" for server name.
So when the vpn connection was enabled, the dns resolution was used to connect to the server.
Thx for all !
Keep the good work on this software !
Glad we could sort that out.
cheers,
Stefan
