I just downloaded the 1.6.9.37161 update and I can no longer autoconnect to sessions the login screen is presented on all sessions. when I login direct from RDC it works fine.
I am on Windows 7 using all latest patches and the latest RDC.
Thanks

Hi Dante,
this is very strange and I'm not able to repro the issue. What happens if you "downgrade" to 1.6.8 again? Is it then working again?
Regards,
Stefan

I am having this same (incredibly annoying) issue on my Windows 7 box. Just started with the new install I did of 1.6.9... yesterday. Maybe it's a .NET 4.0 issue?

As I said before, I cannot repro the issue and I am really trying to help you with that. So can someone please answer the question I state before? Is this also happening when you downgrade again? Also can you examine the activity log and what happens if you create a fresh new connection with credentials and auto login setting?
cheers,
Stefan

I tried reinstalling .net 4.0. No change. I looked in the logs there are no errors. I do not have my old install to downgrade... where do I get it? I also tried creating a new connection from scratch, but still have the issue.

No, creating a new entry from scratch did not get the auto login working.
Yes, 1.6.8 restores functionality.

Interesting. What exact OS version/patch level as well as what RDP version do you have? I will try to repro the issue...

I created a virtual machine matching the same version as yours and I still cannot repro the issue. Did you already try to completely uninstall Royal TS and install 1.6.9 from scratch? What is the target OS/patch level you want to connect using autologin. Can you provide the exact repro steps and maybe a screenshot or a short video of the behavior?
cheers

I did not try uninstalling and reinstalling 1.6.9 from scratch.
Exact repro steps:
Use 1.6.8, life is good. Server 2008 and 2008 R2, as well as 2003 all autologin just fine.
Upgrade to 1.6.9, autologin does not work. I just get the usual server login credentials box. Nothing bizarre about the behavior.
Uninstall 1.6.9 and reinstall 1.6.8 and autologin works again.

I am using the latest Windows 7 x64 with all latest updates. I am accessing Windows 2008 server boxes, Windows 2003 Boxes and Windows XP Boxes. All of them are responding the same. They always throw up a login screen when connecting. This is problematic as the main reason I use Royal TS Is the auto resize/reconnect feature. I am on the latest RDC as well. When I connect directly from RDC it auto logs in with no problem. I just downgraded to the old version and everything works fine again. tried completely uninstalling old version and downloading and reinstalling the new release and I still have the same issue.

Thanks for the clarification, guys. I just uploaded a custom build which may solve the problem. You can download the zip file from http://www.code4ward.net/rtsbeta/rtsapp.zip
Just download it, extract it anywhere (but not in the original program folder) and start RTSApp.exe
Let me know if this solves your issue.
cheers

Great news. Just to clarify: with Autologon you actually mean that your current credentials are passed on to the remote connection without providing any credential information, right?

Yes, I opened my existing .rts file and when I connect, reconnect, or resize the window, it automatically logs me in without needing to type my password manually.

Option 1.
I didn't know that option 2 existed (looked for it, as I'm used to VisionAp Remote Desktop's method, which I rather like, actually).
After glancing at that article, it looks like SSO not an option for me as I use domain admin credentials to log onto servers via Royal TS, and as a regular user on the workstation running Royal TS. Also use Kerberos.
I would love to see you implement the ability to store credentials and apply them to a group or individual server, like VisionAp does.
