The Ad Hoc connection takes it's settings from the Default Settings (in the Application document). If you have configured to open in an external window and checked the ckechbox Minimize main window, it will do that. To avoid this, uncheck the checkbox.
I think I might have fixed the error...

Hi Andy,
yes, you can add tasks to RDP connections to easily establish VPN connections before a RDP connection is opened.
Take a look at the Connect and Disconnect task settings:

Here are the details about...

Hi,
next release will have a new External Window Size setting in the Window Mode property page called "Preferred Size".
If set, supported connection types (currently only RDP) will then cause the external window to be sized to the setting in the connection (Display Options).
The...

I understand now, Nicolas. Sorry for the confusion.
Actually Royal TS should take this into consideration. Here's how Royal TS is handling credentials for the session list:
1. Try to get session data with the currently logged on user
2. if this fails, try to impersonate as the user con...

That's a great question. This is the result of enhancing Royal TS to support more and different connection types. The RDP desktop size is RDP specific and the window mode is general for all connections (web, later ssh, etc.). The problem is that the window mode from the connection actually ...

Thank you, Magnus! It's very much appreciated.
I'm still investigating the issue because it seems that Royal TS 1.x seem to work fine. The problem is, that the client code doesn't really differ in V2. So I'm not sure if Royal TS V2 can be fixed to work with pre RDP 7 versions....

I see. UAC can be a pain and unfortunately there's nothing I can do from Royal TS. The only way to make this work is to start Royal TS as Admin (which is valid in my point of view because Royal TS is an Admin-Tool).
cheers,
Stefan

I wasn't able to fix that issue. The remote desktop session behind "swallows" all clicks and the host application doesn't really notice. The only way to get rid of the context menu is to click somewhere other than the remote session (titlebar, for example).

In the next release you will have a setting in the RTS2App.exe.config called ForceTreeLines. If set to True, you will always see the treelines, regardless of the theme.
cheers,

Thank you for the bug report. This may happen when you try to enter the license information for Royal TS 1.x. It seems that Royal TS is then caught in a loop.
To workaround the issue, make sure you enter the correct Royal TS V2 license information before you try to open an .rts file.
This w...

Thank you for the feedback. I've created an additional installer dialog allowing you to change the target directory. Anyway, I strongly recommend to at least manually clean up the folder with the beta before you install the release version into it. There's a risk that some assemblies ar...

That's weird. You do not see anything in the log. What about a warning/error icon in the dashboard toolbar? Did that work with previous version?

Nicolas is right. At the moment this is not possible but we are planning a new feature called "Templates" which allows you to create connection templates for Ad-Hoc connections based on other connection types and inject settings from the selected connection to the template (like URI)....

Hi Nicolas,
thank you for your feedback.
I will do some tests how this looks. We have a couple of ideas in the pipe where we consider use different font styles or colors depending on the tree content (for example, showing a folder text using the green color when at least one connection...

Selecting a value from the combobox is just setting the checkboxes appropriately. Some kind of predefined set of values. Changing the checkboxes itself will not update the combobox, it's always the other way around. Changing the dropdown will change the checkboxes.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the bug report. This only happens if you don't have set an encryption password in the document. When you set an encryption password (you should do this if you save passwords!), it's working.
Anyway, I will fix that in the next release.
Regards,
Stefan

Hi,
this might be a beta issue (although I'm not sure why it is that way). Anyway, when Royal TS is installed using the msi file, it seems to work just fine.
Regards,
Stefan
